From East to West, the southern coast of Curaçao has over thirty tropical beaches with crystal clear water, perfect for current-free swimming, snorkeling, Scuba Diving or just taking it easy and enjoying the Caribbean sun. The northern coast with it’s rough Caribbean sea is not suitable for swimmers, but is a hotspot for surfers.

Most of the beaches with an admission fee have a snack bar or restaurant facility. The public beaches usually have a Food & Beverage facility around.

NOTE: Toilet use, Showers and Lounge chairs are usually available for a small fee.

Snorkeling
If you’ve never snorkeled, now may be a good time to learn during the various Snorkel Safaris. At the very least, put on a mask and get a glimpse of the wonders just below the surface. It’s a shame if you come all the way to Curacao and haven’t looked to the underwater life.

Scuba diving
Curacao offers great scuba diving for young and old. Most resorts have a dive center on property and offer a variety of trips to various top dive locations.

Barbara Beach
Barbara Beach is located in the Spanish Waters area near the east point of the island. It is a beautiful beach with various facilities like a terrace, restaurant, toilets and showers. The beach is very popular with families and has enough shade. You can see all the yachts and sailboats cruise by when lying on the beach.
Caracas Bay
Caracas Bay is also located at the eastern part of the island in the Spanish Waters area. It is situated in the Underwater Park and there are very good snorkeling possibilities close to the coast. It has also a little snack bar.
Jan Thiel Beach
Jan Thiel Beach is also located at the eastern part of the island. It is a beautiful beach with allot of facilities and very good snorkeling and diving possibilities. The beach has little sand, but there is a great semi-closed area with a swimming pool, where children can play.
Seaquarium Beach
Seaquarium Beach is a very popular beach that is situated near the Sea Aquarium, which is also worth a visit. It has white sand and palm trees and enough facilities like a restaurant, beach bars & shops. The beach is very busy in the weekends and is very suitable for children.
St. Michiel Bay
The St. Michiel Bay is situated near the fishing village St. Michiel. St. Michiels Bay is a very small beach also known as Boca Sami and has not much shade. It has a small fishing pier. There are not much facilities on the beach but near by the beach there are two fish restaurants.
Daaibooi Bay
Daaibooi Bay is a small beach which is close to town. It is a white sandy beach with clear water. There are several parasols on the beach so there is enough shade. There are some facilities like a snack bar. In the weekends the beach can be very crowded.
Kanoa Beach
Located at the Northern coast this picturesque Fisherman village and beach cove is popular among the locals through weekends and if there is a good sea swell you’ll see surfers playing the waves.  There’s a Snack bar and fish restaurant available and the typical fishing boats make a great photo op.
Playa Porto Marie
Playa Porto Marie is a beautiful white sandy beach and has clear blue waters. There are enough parasols on the beach and there are showers and toilets and a bar with a large terrace. The Porto Marie beach is very suitable for children. The area is very attractive for snorkeling and has also special facilities for divers.
Playa Cas Abou
Playa Cas Abao has a white sandy beach, palm trees and parasols. It is ideal for swimmers, scuba divers and snorkeling. There are enough facilities like a restaurant, toilets, showers and changing facilities. It can be very crowded in the weekends.
Playa Santa Cruz
Playa Santa Cruz is also a wide sandy beach with several beach huts. There are not much facilities on the beach. The small snack bar and the rest rooms may be open in the weekends. The beach is very popular for barbeques.
Playa Lagun
Playa Lagun is a white sandy beach with enough shade. The water is very calm and clear and it is a great spot for snorkeling. There is a snack bar on the beach but it is only open during the weekends.
Playa Jeremy
Playa Jeremy is located in a nice, quiet bay. The beach exists of partly sand and partly volcanic stones. The water near the beach is very clear. There is not much shade on the beach and there are no facilities near the beach.
Playa Klein Knip
Playa Klein Knip is a very popular and beautiful beach where a lot of local people go to. It is a white and sandy beach with crystal clear waters. There is not much shade on the beach, but the beach has a enough facilities, like a snack bar and restrooms. It can be very crowded in the weekends.
Playa Groot Knip
Playa Groot Knip is one of the largest beaches on Curacao and also very popular with the local people. It has white sand, turquoise waters and rocky sides. Playa Knip lets you swim and sunbathe in one of the most beautiful surroundings on Curaçao. Snorkeling can be done close to the shore near the rocks on either side of Knip Beach. There is little shadow on the beach and can be very crowded during the weekends. The beach has enough facilities like restrooms and a snack bar.
Playa Forti
This beautiful beach is located at the western tip of the island. The water is very calm and clear. There are tiny pebbles and almost no shade. There are several facilities like snack bars and a restaurant at the parking area.
Westpunt Bay
Westpunt Bay is a typical fisherman’s beach with clear waters. Westpunt Bay is not ideal for a day of sunbathing or swimming because there are allot of pebbles. There is little shade on the beach and there are no facilities. Though, there are two restaurants in the neighborhood of the beach.
Playa Piskado
Playa Piskado is small fisherman’s beach where snorkeling and diving is very popular. There is not much shade on the beach, but there are enough facilities for example a snack bar which is only open during the weekends.
Playa Kalki
Playa Kalki lies in Westpunt, right near Kura Hulanda Lodge. This small beach is very popular for snorkeling and diving and it can be said that it is one of the most popular spots of Curacao. Kalki means limestone in Papiamentu and refers to the limestone cliffs. There are enough facilities on the beach like a shaded terrace with a snack bar and a dive shop.
Klein Curacao Island
The uninhabited island Klein Curacao has an extensive white beach. It is truly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with a wonderful coral. Really a recommendation for snorkeling and diving. There are boat tours and day trips to the island including dive tours.
